Upon further discussion with the Prop Master of BEAU IS AFRAID, I learned that actor was vegan so they ended up using a French Canadian brand vegan Greek yogurt called Riviera. It had coconut milk.

Having multiple ways to get the "paint" looking right could help the actor. Give them choices as to which one to use. Something safe but with a slightly bad taste might help them to react more appropriately, or something easier to swallow could help with a comedic scene. Either way, you use the right paint for the roll.

As a painter and an occasional Greek yogurt consumer, I find this hard to swallow. Yogurt is thicker than latex paint

Rapid fire puns at the end! I've heard that Nickelodeon slime is vanilla pudding woth green food dye, and it has a very similar consistency.
