That's right! We stopped by Trump Burger on West North Main St. in Flatonia, TX to see what the hype is all about. We had to go to lunch super early, as they normally have a line out the door, and I'm not a fan of waiting...

Thoughts and impressions:

- I thought the Donald Trump theme was the only/primary draw to the restaurant, but the food was surprisingly very good. Fresh ingredients, cooked perfectly, appropriate portion sizes. The burgers, chicken sandwiches, regular fries, and sweet potato fries were worth the trip and reasonably priced.
- If you are worried about your blue-voting buddies seeing you enjoying a Trump burger, don't... There are not many blue-voting people in Fayette County, Texas and they won't be caught dead within eyesight of Trump Burger. UNLESS they are in disguise and craving a really, really good burger or chicken sandwich. In which case, they will not criticize.
- Is the Trump theme "over the top"? Yes, absolutely. WAY over the top. The most over-the-top burger place you have ever seen, and then some, but, again, really good food.

You can take any of the exits of I-10, about half way between San Antonio and Houston, toward Flatonia and drive appx one mile South to North Main St (the main drag) in Flatonia. From here, you can't miss Trump Burger. Just look for the red, white, and blue; there will probably be many cars and trucks parked out front and across the street in the parking lot. Address: 110 W. I saw a Trump Parade on the highway last weekend (no kidding! a ridiculously huge convoy of vehicles decked out in red, white, and blue Trump flags. Guess where they were going? Yep... Trump Burger. This crazy place is drawing a crowd.
