Aren't cool flowers amazing? This is my first fall planting so I'm very excited. I heard from Lisa M.Z. that even though yarrow is a perennial, it won't come back in the same bright colors. I'm leaving in some of my favorite bright reds and pinks to test out that theory, but thinking it might be worth it to plant some more just in case. 😊🌼

Hi Nicole, some time ago I bought some expensive soil from the shop in a bag. I hoped to do something good for the plants but there was something in there that was eating all the leaves from the plants. I exchanged the soil on time to save the roots of the plants. So you're lucky that the soil was just bad but not contaminated. I think the best is to produce your own soil but that takes time. Do snapdragons really overwinter in zone 6 🤗👍 That's good to hear. We're in zone 7 so that should work as well hopefully. To see the rain was so nice, we had some yesterday as well after the heatwave that is taking a break for two days. Greetings Heidi 👩‍🌾💕

Good job gaining a year of growth by planting perennials in the fall ! Herbicide contamination can be an issue in my area. I hope the soil company delivers a quality replacement and you are able to side dress your new plantings.
