Took us trying a couple times on Steam. Launch steam FIRST. Start Satisfactory from Steam. Start your desired game. Hit escape and go into session settings. Set it to Steam and allow freinds to join. (2) Shift+TAB to bring up Steam interface. Find your friend in friends list and Right-click and "invite to game". (3) friend opens STEAM and launches Satisfactory from STEAM. Should then see an option to "Join" a game in addition to the other Satisfactory start page options. I think those are the steps that work. We've done it with each of us hosting so was reproducible. This is 1.0.0.7 or higher if they patched again and I didn't notice.
