The first one is not a “hack, ” it is an actual Ikea desk. I know because I just looked at it in the Ikea catalog and am ordering it for my sewing and craft room. It is the Linnmon/Alex desk.

Ikea literally charges a minimum of double for their drawers/furniture pieces over what they should be sold for.

I would look for moving and yard sales to acquired these pieces and for a realistic value cost and really enjoy these creative hacks and upcycles.

I agree with Sonia. They don’t tell you how to do some of the things that are not obvious, such as the bookcase that becomes a “built-in” and the light fixture (can’t even see it!).
