Using deadwood for bonsai inspiration

You still surprise me, Tony. It's the very first time I've seen someone tie a knot on a tree. That groove on the deadwood inspire me to make a tanuki.

I like that you introduced real deadwood because it clearly shows to people that the contorted shapes of juniper are reflective of what is seen in nature. A really interesting approach to wiring a juniper. Keep that brain matter working Tony. Cheers, Xav

Your piece of wall art is lovely and just right for your home. Your bending is doing well. And your eye has come on brilliant, hope its feeling better on the inside too. I've had the news that both mine have cataracts and in one eye the jelly is shrinking, just old age....humph! Great video, keep them comingxx

The deadwood will make a unique art display and good place to hang your hat too! The Juniper bending went very well and I'm sure it will be a exciting tree to work on again next summer, cant wait to see it. Its not a common juniper now thats for sure Tony.

yes Tony the big twist almost a 9 o clock is where that wall art is meant to be.good video as always.a good idea would be to yacht varnish (B&Q sell it) the dead wood to stop it crumbling or deteriorating in any way.

A very nice and interesting shaping of your juniper, Tony. Needed to smile when you mentioned your opinion about cascades, which I am fully sharing. They are not my favorites in bonsai either.
