That's quite a lot of code to add for these crucial things every app needs. Get's a bit In a way...
Although now thinking about it I would probably just write request middleware to take care of common request stuff and just manually add additional spans where needed on some critical paths. Perhaps with decorators not to be intrusive of methods.

I've worked with application insights only and it's incredibly easy to use. But I'd like to try out this combination...not dependent on cloud service provider like Azure.
