A fun fact about the cartoon: The show literally had a total of 5 voice actors. Each voiced one of the five leads, and were all spread out amongst the various antagonists and supporting characters, except for Karen Strassman. Since Jinja was the only girl on the team, that also meant she voiced literally every other female character in the show. It's quite a testament to the whole cast's talent that they were able to showcase that much range. Methinks a lot of the budget went into marketing and merchandising, so condensing the show's cast helped save costs where they could

Can’t believe I’m one of the few people who genuinely remembers Ninjago had freaking spin tops.

Man the fate of monsuno is tragic. It really is as a certain British lawyer said, the more you plan something, the harder the fall gets

remembering that those became a lot popular here so we decided to use solid glue bars as a copycat and imagine those had the monsters inside, so you could enter one class and have like half of the kids spinning glue bars like that

I loved this show I remember the first time I got to see a monsuno was on my best friend party, his cousins had a monsuno battle and I was so amazed that I eventually made my own with a PVC pipe, a plastic bottle tap... A spring...A candle as soldering for Plastic and my monster was made of paper... I'm so proud of that craft

I do like how each faction is aesthetically different
Blue are really natural looking with crystals growing out of them
Red look hyper aggressive covered in spikes
Black look really militaristic and have geometric shapes
Orange there cyborgs I’m sad they weren’t released in the west they were cyborgs
Green? Eldritch monsters not sure if they were monsuno

I think my favorite part of these was that a complete monster design completely fit in the core and didn’t need to be folded out

16:43 your words here are exactly what I needed to hear today. I've been struggling a lot lately with some complicated relationships and this is what I needed to hear reignite my motivation to keep moving forward and on to something new and better for me.
who would have thought I could find such sage advice from a monsuno retrospective of all things. that being said, thank you jett kuso ❤️

I remember watching the monsuno show when I was younger, I think more than Bakugan the more I think about it. I just found the little marbles cooler I guess.

A real shame that this line died the way it did. Maybe the new Bakugan reboot will possibly make Jacks Pacific think of making a reboot of the toy line themselves.

I hope Monsuno returns one day.
maybe jakks pacific will try to apply the strategy he did before.
wait for the bakugan to be at their lowest point then take his place without worrying about the skylanders killing him again

I loved these! They were just WAY more brittle than Bakugan and kept popping out of the tube.

Honestly, of all these old toy lines that failed, the one that saddest me the most is Medabots. It was such a cool concept!

And yes, I'm aware it's still going decently strong in Japan.

Monsuno is my hidden gem!!!
The opening of the show was a banger! The show itself, while not the best, was very entertaining to watch.
The toys and game could have been better developed in my opinion.
Very good overall. I personally still love this franchise and hope they do something with it in the future. Doesn't need to be a full on reboot, perhaps a side-game or a 12 episode season to experiment a little bit.

I still have to finish the video but I was excited when you mentioned the "Gormiti", I come from Italy the homeland of these characters, I grew up there and I still keep beautiful memories and many gormiti, especially of the first series, and news, soon they will release a "reboot" of the first historical characters, with new figures and colors! I love your videos you also made me rediscover Bakugan (Google translation)

Imagine if they had a monsuno reboot. Wonder how well it would do now that skylanders aren’t a thing anymore.

I remember myself being small and watching monsuno with my best friend after its stoped being popular. You couldn't find it anywhere basically (and I was living in a somewhat bad country, so things like Bakugan arrived to my pretty much late. REALLY late.
Shame, but hey, on the bright side it's not forgotten. Maybe we will even see the remake one day.

I loved these when I was little, I would play all of the Bakugan rip offs and love every second of it. The designs and way the toys expanded legitimately is the reason I became a mechanical engineer

Thanks Jett for making me feel super old 😂. Not only do I remember ninjago starting out as card/spinner game, but I remember collecting a bunch of the monsuno cores. Unfortunately none of my friends got into monsuno, so my cores just collected dust.

I loved this reminder of Monsuno, it was a cool concept for a game similar to Bakugan(even though I never played it), and the show was awesome, even though it had nothing to do with the actual card game it was still cool with a kick-ass theme song that I still love and jam too. Also in the show the catchphrase was Launch, but they usually said the Monsuno’s name for example, ” Lock, Launch” that was what the main character said
