After watching this video you will understand how to apply the carson's formula (carson's rule) for calculating the bandwidth of a frequency modulated signal.
This video explains how the carson's formula may change based on the value of modulation index for FM.
If the value of modulation index is less than pi/2 , then the bandwidth of FM will not depend on the frequency deviation.
this is the case of narrowband FM.
