My Yorgo was from Cyprus. Although Assyrian by birth, he spoke & read fluent Greek. We discovered Kyrie Parios when his cousin brought cassette tapes from Cyprus in the 80s. He was was crazy for your music, as was I, even tho I don't speak Greek. This duet would have made him cry w/happiness if he were still alive. I list

Ich bin eine Österreicherin mit griechischem Herzen, in die Jahre gekommen und seit Jahrzehnten Euch Griechen verfallen, mein lieber griechischer Mann hat leider viel zu früh seine letzte Reise alle, die mein Vergnügen, meinen Trost und auch meine Therapie, Ermöglichen! cant believe this is on youtube. I first heard it on the island of rhodes whilst on holiday 1985 with my dear mother and subsequently bought the "cassette" I have loved to dig it out now and then and lose myself in some wonderful and funny memories. I got a very rough translation at the time and often think of trying to get full translation but however, I love listening to it and its great to see this father and son in the flesh. Thank you for the lovely memory today
