10 Things that you can do with a Line6 M5 and a Boss ES-5

Do you want to play the 2-part harmonies from the Hotel California outro solo? Alone, with a pedal adding the correct harmonies? With gear cheaper than an Eventide H9? Here you go ... some experiments with the powerful combination of the cheapo Line6 M5 pedal and the Boss ES-5 Loopswitcher. Harmonizer/Intelligent Pitch Shifting, Whammy Pedal style effects, Delay, Guitar Synthesizer, Leslie, Flanger, Phaser, Volume Swells ... the M5 does it all, and some of it actually quite well :-)

Brilliant! You have my praise and gratitude. You raised the bar for the M5. Got a near new one for $70 at my local GC three weeks ago to go in a stereo fx loop on a JC-40. Using it for stereo phaser/delay. So simple and intuitive to program.

Im looking at getting the M5. It doesnt have dry analog through but that should not matter much if Im going Wet-Dry anyway no? I go dry into my VOX AC15 and wet into Egnater Tweaker 15 (1x12" Jensen Blackbird alnico cab).

I used to use an expression pedal to alternate between two scales so i could play The Boys Are Back in Town harmonized solos. Think it was A pentatonic and D major or something like that. I just play them without harmonizer now it got a bit much.

The M5 has a sound quality which kills most of the so called "boutique pedals". I use this only as a programmable delay, and for the price you won't get a better one. Keep up the great guitar playing, another brick was just amazing!

Sorry, it is me again. In the example #6, how do you trick it so that it comes down to the first position after the INT ramp up? Using another assign or what? Thanks again for these videos, they are very helpful.

M5 is good, I use it in many combinations of sounds.. it would be great to move it in the chain with the switch
