ULTIMATE Small Shop Dust Collection [TESTED]

Показать описание
Today we're testing the best dust collection for a small woodshop! I put cyclones and dust collectors to the test to see which combination performs the best. The change in CFM is used to determine the winner between your standard shop vac vs. that of the Festool dust extractor. There are multiple tests using different hose sizes and different separators, including the Oneida Air Dust Deputy 2.5 Cyclone, a 5-gallon bucket, and a 14-gallon drum.

Dust sucks! So, Let me know which combination you think will make the woodshop shine in the comments. Let the battle begin!

This is VERY helpful and timely for me.

Seems like a shop vac could be a good option if you go with the 2.5in hose.

Enjoyed the cross comparisons between the hose diameters and extraction units. Bigger is better. Tony

It occurs to me - your CFM tester has a fan that's roughly 2.5", and you didn't seal the air coming in around the 1.5" hose. I realize this is a video that's a year old, but I bet the 1.5" hoses would perform much better on your measuring device if it had a sealed connection to the tester fan.
