Nagorno-Karabakh conflict: Displaced Agdam residents hoping to resettle

As part of last week's deal to end the fighting in Nagorno-Karabakh, Armenia is giving control of certain regions back to Azerbaijan.
One of those areas is Agdam, taken in 1993 by Armenia.
An estimated 200,000 were displaced after more than 70 percent of Agdam was taken by Armenia.
Now many of those who fled the war in the 1990s are preparing for an emotional return home, once Agdam is cleared of mines and infrastructure is redeveloped.

Al Jazeera’s Osama Bin Javaid reports from Agdam, Nagorno-Karabakh.

Please stop calling them ethnic armenians. The armenians were moved to Karabakh by Russia around 250-300 years back to create a buffer of christian population between its own border and the Ottoman Empire.

When you are useing the term 'ethnic armenians' you mislead people to believe that the armenians have been living there for a long time. Which is not true.

There were some other christian populations, with totally different languages and alphabets than what the armenians have. They were in minority in that area. And those a few churches were built by them. Now the armenia is trying to falsify the history and present those churches to the world as if they were built by armenians. Which is again a total lie.

The armenians are brainwashed with a false history to the degree that they have truly started to believe to their own lies.
