Deliver The Future | Universal Health Coverage
Показать описание
More than half of the world's population, 4.5 billion people, lack access to essential health services—and the majority of these are women, children, and adolescents living in hard-to-reach, vulnerable communities.
As part of the 2024 IMF/World Bank Group Spring Meetings, country leadership, civil society, and global development organizations gathered for a flagship event to discuss challenges and solutions surrounding the global goal of achieving #universalhealthcoverage, or #UHC, by 2030. During the event, the #WorldBank announced a commitment to reach 1.5 billion people with quality, affordable health care services by 2030. However, without reaching vulnerable women, children, and youth, achieving UHC for everyone will remain a dream.
Meeting this challenge drives the GFF partnership's country-led efforts to improve the health and well-being for the millions in this group who remain without health care across our partner countries. And it's why the GFF, in partnership with the World Bank, countries, civil society and #globalhealth organizations, will continue building resilient health systems and paving a path toward affordable, quality health care by ensuring access to services for women, children and adolescents in the hardest-to-reach communities.
Together, let's champion #healthforall for all and create a world where women, children, and adolescents everywhere can access quality health care without financial strain.
