I dont know why you think the pacific is so bad. You have 2 of the teams at cup contenders and another as a playoff lock. Having the Canucks and Ducks in the same tier is ridiculous. Canucks finished 25 points higher then the Ducks last year and that was with the league's worst pk and Demko out for half the year.

I am thankful to have added by May 2021 NHL Centre Ice to enable me to watch a lot of those games that feature Canadian teams in action even if my hometown Leafs aren’t one of the teams in action. The season during which I started that TV subscription is the same one that had featured all Canadian teams‘ having gotten to play in a single division.


Although I still believe the Canucks are a bubble team, I agree with the TacTixHD YouTube man’s classification of the remaining Canadian teams (albeit barely in the case of an Oilers’ team that last season took quite a step back in the postseason). When it comes to, in which range within each division such teams to finish, I see:
- the Leafs and Oilers finish in top-three divisional spots
- the Habs finish no higher than fifth in the Atlantic, but among teams out East that end up in the wildcard race, at least three that end up with higher point totals
- among the remaining Canadian teams, the:
— Canucks finish anywhere from 4th to 6th in the Pacific, considering the unlikelihood the Sharks or Ducks will finish sixth or better in that division
— Flames finish in the same range in the Pacific as the Canucks, but (considering minimal changes they’ve made, with the only trade they’ve made, following their most recent game, if other than a near-league-minimum player, having been the trade of Tyler Toffoli that brought Yegor Sharangovich the other way from the Devils) for the second consecutive season, finish out of a playoff spot, even if only barely
— Jets and Sens each finish anywhere from 4th to 7th in their respective divisions as I respectively see at a bare minimum the Blackhawks and Habs finish below them


Do I intend to change my predictions on where any of the Canadian teams finish the regular season? I don’t intend to change such predictions going into the regular season, but once the regular season gets underway, all bets will be off depending on actual on-ice results.

Florida down 1 tier and Vancouver up one tier are the changes I would make. Moving Detroit down 1 tier would also make sense but I think it's fair to have them in either tier. I would also move Minnesota up a tier but I can understand keeping them in that tier too.
