Roy was testing his guard.. it wasn't timing. Roy was punching his stomach to see where is the hand placement of the boxer and his reaction time. It paid off

He set him up with some pattern recognition. He jabbed to the chest then to the stomach and used that sequence several times in this round. Then on the knockdown he jabbed to the chest changed his level like he was going to jab to the stomach, feinted, and brought it back up to the head with a left hook. Beautiful stuff. People always talk about Roy’s god given talent and speed which he had plenty of, but he was also a tactician who had brilliant boxing IQ to go with the talent!

He baited him 3 times, jab to the head jab to the body once he noticed he bit every time he went with the jab and hook to the head because his opponent expected that jab to the body. Just awesome at setting traps.

I can't stand seeing it. To see a fighter like Roy start losing to guys who couldn't have beaten him on his worst day at his best is sad. He would have literally been the G.O.A.T. Roy was literally unbeatable at one point.
