Sudan Vs Gaza: A Forgotten Genocide?

Sudan was never in the headlines in the first place and Gaza is now forgotten due to Syria! Because news stations can’t phantom how to keep two or three thoughts in their head at the same time! They fly where the novelty and noice is.

As a Sudanese citizen who lived through this war until I was forcibly kicked out of my home in Khartoum. I firsthand experienced the horrors inflicted by the RSF so I urge the international community to focus on the root cause of the conflict: the UAE's support for the RSF.
The current conflict in Sudan is fundamentally driven by external intervention, specifically by the UAE, rather than being a simple internal struggle. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) are a tool being used to achieve broader geopolitical and economic objectives.

My summary of the situation in Sudan:

1. Root Cause of Conflict
- The UAE is the primary instigator, using its economic and political power to destabilize Sudan
- Motivation: Control of Sudan's vast economic resources, including:
• Sudan's fertile agricultural land (nearly 50% of the Arab world's agricultural land)
• Significant mineral wealth (gold, uranium, copper...ect)
• Potential oil reserves

2. Mechanisms of Interference
- Financial: Using oil money to buy off corrupt politicians
- Military: Providing weapons and political backing to the RSF
- Diplomatic: Protecting the RSF from international scrutiny
- Media: Controlling narrative around the conflict

3. Impact on Sudanese People
- Humanitarian Crisis: Largest hunger crisis globally
• 18 million Sudanese suffering from severe hunger
• Potentially 2.5 million will die from hunger soon
- Systematic Destruction of Infrastructure
• Deliberate targeting of agricultural regions (Al-Jazeera, Sennar)
• Disrupting food production
• Forcing farmers to flee their lands

4. Public Sentiment
- Contrary to some narratives, the majority of Sudanese support the national army
- Areas under army control are the only safe zones in the country
- RSF-controlled areas can be characterized by:
• Constant fear
• Extremely high risk of violence (robbery, beatings, rape, murder)
• Intentional infrastructure destruction

5. Strategic Goal
- The RSF's tactics are a form of terrorism
- Aimed to make life unbearable and force the army's surrender
- Ultimately serving the UAE's colonial ambitions in the region

What you can do to help:
International pressure on the UAE through:
- Diplomatic channels
- Economic sanctions
- Boycotting the UAE
- Media exposure of their role in the conflict
The UAE's colonial dreams & geopolitical maneuvers have led to immense suffering for the Sudanese people and for people in Yemen, Libya and all over the Arab world. The UAE must be stopped now.

What's happening in Sudan is obviously tragic, but the Palestinian people have been under brutal military occupation for over 70 years, and apparently genocide is no longer a red line to some powers. In Sudan, warring parties are both Sudanese, aren't they. In Gaza, the aggressor is foreign and brutal. Perhaps that's why? I don't know.
