To make it really easy, use an oil extractor. They work great with the J35 engine. The tube goes all the way to the bottom of the oil pan and you get all the old oil out. You don’t have to worry about replacing the crush washer or stripping the threads on the oil pan. Also apiece of aluminum foil over the subframe makes for easy clean up.

Torque spec on oil drain bolt? Also don't forget to prefill your new oil filter with some oil.

Directions on all oil filters state fill oil filter prior to attaching. Without doing so 1st start is dry..think about were initially oil comes from cycles from "filter".
