With a similar profile to Stage 5, today’s route sees the Peloton take on a long climb in the opening third of the race before a reasonably easy final 100 km. Unlike Stage 5, however, the final 2 km kick upwards at around 2.5% towards the finish line in Cuneo just to sting the sprinters’ legs.

Man, did the peloton have to work full-gas! Demare in fantastic form. Every one of these riders are super-human athletes. Have a feeling tomorrow is going to be awesome.

Cavendish is a great sprinter, but damn, that overtake/crossing was just blatently dangerous: 5:29

Hoping to see Bardet win. I would love to see him win a grand tour, was hoping this could be his year/race.

Anyone else thinking that the UAE rider could/should have move over further in the sprint? Kinda blocked the Alpecin train

Gaviria never follows Richeze's wheel when he does his leadout, that could bring him a better outcome. He's finished in the podium some times already, but I hope he wins a stage the next week, which isn't likely.

Considering today's abandonment...one could say the Giro has been real for quite some time...

That UAE rider endangered almost the entire sprint. Dude swayed back and forth. Just fizzle off to the side, when youve done your damn job.

Does a breakaway group or individual ever win? It seems like the peloton and sprinters always catch up and win. I'm a total noob to anything cycling. Just trying to learn.

TJ knows as much about winning as Wegelius. Vaughters has to find somebody who knows how and when to "win" to drive that car. If Vandenberg works in the last 2k he wins, or gets 2nd. Shame!
