The SECRET Feud That DESTROYED 'Prince & The Revolution'

Prince and The Revolution were an iconic group that helped shape a whole era—but behind the scenes was a secret feud that destroyed them.

One big issue was Prince’s control—he called all the shots, leaving the band with no creative freedom. The Revolution felt more like a backup than a real team.

But things only got worse. Another instance was during the Purple Rain era when the band was left out of major decisions and creative work.

He’s Prince. He writes all the hits, he sings the songs, he’s the star. The others should’ve just been happy to be there.

Prince was famous, before the movie, " Purple Rain. " 🧐

Prince was a solo artist before he hired them.and when Prince was 18 yrs old he had produced.his first album .so The success of Prince hinged on his ability.to make hit albums.that's why it was named Prince/the Revolution.

They were a backing band. They didn’t even record the music in the studio initially, it was just Prince in the studio. Cover band in the early days.

This is the story of most bands. Creative genius like Prince want everything to be a perfect match of their vision. That is why very few bands withstand the test of time. I know because I've been there. It is especially difficult when the creative ideas of fellow musicians are ignored and guarantees trouble within the group eventually.

Just play what he tells you to play and do your own projects on the side. Prince was a SUPER GENIUS

Ummm.... they were his backing band. He was ALWAYS a solo act. He just gave them a name. Them feeling as if they had a say in his projects is probably why he cut them loose eventually. Know your place. That was Prince's career, not theirs. If it were physically possible to be his own backing band he would've done it.

They thought just because they’re playing with him that they have decisions on his music, that’s not how that works. He hired them to play his music live on tour that’s it.

I'm on a mission to debunk fake BS clickbait channels like this. I've followed Prince's career from the start. There was NEVER any 'secret feud' that destroyed The Revolution. They loved and respected each other. The group was technically independent contractors on Prince's payroll. Prince went on to create several other bands as his tastes evolved. So don't buy the hype from channels like this.

There has never been someone in Prince's camp that was named Desiree Dizzy Hines! I've been a mega fan since the begininning and this is the 1st I've heard of her (whoever she is) and that is not Levi that you have pictured @14:00!! Levi is a black man. Whoever you posted has never been a member of any of Prince's band. What is the point of going through the trouble of doing a story but not have it fact based? At least use pics that coincide with your point in the story. And another thing...what is this "secret" that you trick your viewers into clicking on? This is a mess! Shame on you!

So the scenes of Prince with Lisa and Wendy in Purple Rain were true, art imitating life ..

They didn’t hate Prince. Most of them came back and worked with Prince again.

Listen to Dr. Susan Rogers, she knows that Prince was hyper creative, so she understood his behavior. He was composing 24/7, always new ideas, no time for distractions like nice small talks. He was genius and probably the hardest working artist ever.
What a stupid title regarding the fact all the members showed their admiration for Prince in many interviews

If its was not for Prince ...nobody would know who they are!

Wendy was so fucking fine back in the early 1980s through the 1990s!
Also, the Wendy and Lisa album called Fruit At The Bottom was fresh and funky!
They're possibly the FUNKIEST white chics in music history!
However, my dude PRINCE was a musical genius who NEVER needed anybody in the music studio to create his art.
He only needed musicians to tour with like The Revolution.
Although there were awesome musicians who played with him and made very important contributions.

Prince wrote the music, played the instruments on the albums, called all the shots, told the band how to walk, talk, and dress. The band's was for playing live and to help promote the brand with their "look". He was a control freak and had little care for those that worked for him, he was a user of people.

Well it was PRINCE & the Revolution, not just the Revolution, so there's that. (before the Revolution it was just Prince)
