If anyone is wondering the actual variant of this Spitfire is the Spitfire Mk.IIa. It features 8 machine guns. On the later 2b and on variants the machine guns would be substituted into (a.)2 Canons, 4 MGs (b.)4 Canons (c.) and it keeps going. Each variant had specific roles with some being universal multi-role fighters. The Spitfire Mk.IX featured a much more powerful Rolls-Royce Merlin engine similar to the one in the P-51D. The Mk.VIII featured a bubble canopy. This feature+Merlin Engines would be seen on the rest of Spitfire variants all the way through to the final Mk.24 variant.

hmm a spitfire mk IIa. This particular plane is based at RAF coningsby. I know this because of the tail number P7350

These are designed for youngsters to get into model making. Airfix´s cunning plan! My friend´s 6 year old just built his first one and I put the stickers on for him. It just had to be a Spitfire! I get the feeling that there will be dog fights on his ceiling when we find some fishing line to attach to them, old skool style.

u can print youre own water slide decals, its easy, just get some water slide sheets of paper from ebay, scan some designs from google and print them with a copy machine, then spray paper with clear coat, then in a day or so, cut out designs and soak in water and apply, since they are waterslide they are very easy to place perfectly, i used them when i used to make and sell custom transformer toys

Never done a 3D puzzle? If you want to try one of the crystal ones i suggest either the Apple or the skull ones. Both are good builds and look good on display.
