Zak meets with the Evolution E-Types team as they walk and talk us through what exactly an Evolution E-Type is!

These Jaguars are not restored to their former glory, they are enhanced, modernised, tweaked to drive like a modern day car. The beauty about the whole thing is that we still have the Jaguar E Type DNA running through the entire car.

You are driving a BETTER Jaguar E-Type!

Uryk Dmyterko and Dan Woodward talk us through the builds at the Warren Classic and Supercar Show!

What a very disappointing interview when the camera was for the whole time on the individuals and not on the interior of the engine or the cabin. I wanted to see the engineering, not the clever people involved. Shame!

How many of the "know-it-alls" who say this is wrong and that is wrong have even sat in an E-type, let alone driven one. What these guys are doing is nothing short of brilliant. They're taking a motoring icon to a new level, yet doing it sympathetically. I hope their doors are broken down by people with money in their hands. Bloody well done lads. William Lyons would give you a thumbs up.

Having restored a total of 7 E types, as well as leaving two of my own in original condition, just maintained, I get it. For purists who feel they have destroyed priceless originals I suggest you attend a JCNA Concours. How many do we need for the documentation of the marque? My favorite personal Jag is a ‘71 OTS with factory air and power steering! What’s next? A ‘67 coupe that needs EVERYTHING. I think these guys are leading the way and I for one, will follow. I have several trailers, I just don’t like keeping my own cars in them. As for their production, direction, camera work and editing, these guys and the interviewer need to stay in the shop.

You might want to show more of the car and let them talk over it, just a thought❗️🇺🇸

BEST OF BOTH WORLDS... OLD WITH UPDATED NEW... hope they have enough buyers with the $$$ to sell lots of E-Types.

Does the trunk badge say "Jacuar"? It fits. Because the two "builders" seem like Jacoffs.

if it wasn't for the E type business I'd swear this was a meeting of James Bond heavies all in black - the SPECTRE e types, wot wot?

Yes, but WHAT have they done to make it better?

I've done several of these mods to my '64 FHC (not the power steering and A/C - don't want it) for a fraction of the $485, 000 these guys charge so I'm no purist by any means, but these cars were only about $6500 (about $55, 000 in 2019 US dollars) out the door brand new in the early/mid 60's. That's is how they were able to sell 72, 000 of them. These guys are catering to a very specific and limited clientele of aging multi-millionaire snobs (as if Jaguars didn't already have more than enough snob appeal) so their success isn't guaranteed over the long term just building these restomods. Are they using donor cars with traceable VINs? If not, these are *replicas*. Expensive and beautifully done, but still replicas. (some call them kits) What will be worth more over the long haul? An original Cobra or E-Type or a replica built from parts some 50+ years after production of the original? I'd bet on the former rather than the latter and at nearly $500K, I'm not in that demographic. I'd certainly be interested in any upgraded parts though and I know a lot of E-Type owners that would be as well.

interviewer seemed poorly prepared, lacked knowledge and it flowed poorly. However, great guys doing wonderful things to make a fantastic car usable on today’s roads. I’m all for that

Why don't they show what they're talking about.

I get it, I really do. I'd love to have one. All that beauty and nostalgia in a driveable, liveable, package. However, it's misleading to call it an E-type. Evolution should rename it - or qualify it (add 'Evolution' to 'Jaguar' on the boot-lid, e.g.) - to reflect its very different provenance and character. As for its DNA, it is to an E-type what a human is to a chimpanzee.

It kills me that car guys will stand there in front of the camera and blather on. It is the car, dummy. Show the car.

They really don't know how to sell the project do they. It's all oh and ah and well sort of this a bit of that. Oh and it drives better. Hmmmm. Need to work on the sales pitch a bit better
