In this video we take a look at Elegoo's new water washable resin. I was very excited to test out this resin when I heard of its announcement. IPA is not nearly as pleasant to work with and is much more costly than tap water. Follow along as I take you threw my experience with this resin. Make sure to wear gloves and dispose of the resin responsibly.

For the drain hole, instead of placing one on top (visible) and one on bottom, just place two on the bottom, this will allow the air to enter so that the uncured resin inside can still be rinsed out, and you'll never see the holes!

When you expose the rinse tub to UV, it amazing how much resin is in the solution!

Just gettin into resin printing myself. Got a Mars Pro 2 and a 1kg of this stuff to mess about with. Not having any experience with “normal” resin its good to see this stuff is just as good 👌

Just got my elegy Mars today and I ordered the water washable resin mostly because IPA is hard to come by lol with this virus crap. Going on
So in the next day or so I will give it a try

Thanks for making me aware of this stuff. :-) I haven't gotten into the resin realm quite yet, but this is just one more thing making it seem like a little less of a hassle. BTW, I too appreciated your mentioning not to just run the raw resin down the drain & how to handle it.

Printed a ton of miniatures with this resin. 45s bottom layers, then 7s each layer on Elegoo Mars Pro, no failures. Level per Elegoo instructions. This resin remains brittle despite adjusting parameters. Prints won’t last falling off table. Resorted to adding 15-20% Siraya Tech Tenacious for improved durability but have not tested yet. Cleaning is a breeze. I dip print and plate in hot water. Simple taking prints of plate (i use skate for bottom supports) and supports. Rinse and then final clean with soft brush and a little bit of mean green.

Never cure in water. Cures very fast in Anycubic Wash and Cure. About 15s for minis and 30s for larger pieces.

I was at Mircocenter in Yonkers NY tonight and they had bottles of inland water soluble resin. Looked like it was 30 dollars a bottle and saw yellow, red and blue colors.. Not sure how good it works and I can't find anything on line about it. But it was there.
