Roughly 20 miles off the coast of West Africa, the island of Bioko sits alone in the Atlantic Ocean. This rainforest-dominated terrain is home to one of the rarest primates in the world: the drill.

Step 3: Give it a good sniff.
Step 4: Take a small bite.

I didn't expect to enjoy this video as much as I did.. I like all animals but monkeys & primates aren't my most favourite animals so I don't watch that many videos of them.. but this was interesting

Look how expressive and full of thought their eyes are - human like - You can’t tell me these animals don’t have consciousness - desires, fears, love, affection - Surely its different from humans but it’s there nonetheless

there are Drills on the mainland, too. mostly in nature reserves made for them. i had a friend of mine visit cameroon for over a month to work there with them. Bioko is their main habitat but they do exist in mainland africa, as well. shouldve maybe waited until the end to write this but oh well...
