….started using Burda patterns in the 80's when I was not able to find stylish men's patterns from the American pattern companies...Burda had tons of wonderful pleated, draped pants, blouson men's shirts and very stylish jackets with exaggerated shoulders, which were very "in" in those days....then I became a Burda lover...even learned to put in a proper trouser zipper from a Burda pattern instruction sheet....now I have a drawer set aside for my Burda men's patterns...…………..

I made my first real garment from a Burda. It was a pencil skirt from a Bridal themed issue from summer a few years back. There is a peplum style bustier top that requires boning to go with it. When the occasion ever presents itself, I will make this party outfit in a nice fabric...but for now only swooning over it whenever I go through my magazines.

Burda has some beautiful patterns .... but most of them stops at size 44, which I don't understand, because here in Germany lots of women are +44.

Burda are worth the effort for their styling. Jut take your time and reread what instructions are given albeit, limited.

love burda mag, so hard to find here. i totally miss it...it took me a lot to get in habit of tracing but totally worth it for these patterns...not sure how to get back issues, i would love to try the aug 2017. tfs
