Grunts go hard when they rebelled they actually nearly crippled the entire Covenant they only got defeated when the covenant glassed their homeworld and the severe shock of that got em to surrender truly Grunts know true struggle...

Hearing that the Fuel Rod Cannons could fire as fast as you could click was the happiest moment of my short Grunt life. That being said no one can possibly trace Gort's tragic death back to any specific cannon. Could have been anyone's Ruel Rod really that tragically cut down the Hero of Ubulon-7.

Grunts(Unggoy) canonically (as far as Im concerned.) can be named nearly anything, not just flaps gorps or flipyaps, there is a bigger possibility of a grunt being dubbed “shitballs” than there is a Marine surviving a fight against an Elite Squad.

You know the Grunts had it bad when after a Covenant wide rebellion, they were finally given the privilege of carrying WEAPONS in combat.


It also says a lot about the grunt species resilience and reproductive rate that the partial glassing of their home planet only slightly impacted their growth

Fun Halo lore fact for you: The Hunters are actually a bunch of worms (Lekgolo) in a suit of armor that form a colony (Mgalekgolo) and become more intelligent with every Lekgolo added to the colony. However when the colony becomes too large they split into two distinct Mgalekgolo that become known as "Bond Brothers". That's why Hunters are always deployed in pairs. If their Brother is killed they go into a frenzied rage. They also speak by vibrating the individual worms inside the armor to mimic speech.

Seeing a hunter launch grunts makes me realize that catapults on the back of hunters might be a good strategy that no one thought about in the Covenant

I've got the feeling that if Ignis Corps was in charge of the Covenant, things would have become way worse for Humanity. It didn't seem to have taken them long to figure out that Hunters launching plasma grenade wielding Grunts make for excellent artillery.

Playing through Halo the first time and wounding a Grunt - seeing them panic was always funny. Then they drop their weapon, rummage for something, and start running at you with a couple of active plasma grenades.

That quickly wiped the smile from my face... until just after the Grunt explodes and I *knew* I was playing an all-timer game.

I remember seeing the early clip of you absolutely smacking the elite with the plasma pistol to then be vibe checked by the elite holding the hammer, it was my favourite moment.

Also to explain the extream laggyness of the space battle, it was probably just the cannons on both ships constantly firing, since those bullets are still active long after they leave your vision range, it stacks up and that starts to murder your FPS. i found it while I was testing having cannons fire like that in the intro for a drop pod assault.
