LEGO Star Wars 9496 DESERT SKIFF Review! (2012)

From 2012 the LEGO Star Wars 9496 Desert Skiff and Sarlacc Pit might be the best version to date! With 4 new at the time Star Wars Minifigures we got Luke Skywalker, Boba Fett, Lando, and Kithaba! This set was released alongside Jabba's Palace and complimented it perfectly! A fun playset that could work for a small display piece and for the price a must buy at the time.

Ryan, the dark skin on Luke’s torso is very accurate to the extremely important scene where he had a reverse farmers tan because he was a moisture farmer originally, duh😂

I actually remember buying this at a Toys R Us. There are a few missing pieces now, Boba Fett's range finder, and two of the curved spike pieces on the Sorlack Pit.

I had this set as a kid. It was such an amazing set to play with and have the characters get eaten by the sarlac, very fun.

Lots of nostalgia for this set! For my Make a Wish trip, I got to go to Legoland in California, and my parents bought me this one at the shop there. It’s long disassembled now, but I do eventually want to buy one to display and look back on the good memories 😊

I have a special connection with this set. I never had it, but I do remember going past it in store looking at it on the shelves. I always thought that I would get it, being a fairly cheap set, even for my family being pretty poor. But I did play with this set at a few friends house, but that strengthened my love for it. A wave of nostalgia from this set.

Lego used the Empire Strikes Back Boba fett for this set with the sand blue jump suit. In ROTJ, his jumpsuit is more light grey, matching his torso

Since it was cheap I got this set multiple times over its run when I was younger and have several memories of building it. Probably all time favorite Lego set

I remember begging my mom for this everytime I went to Walmart when I was little. One day, I did all my homework ahead of time and they got me this as a reward. I worshiped that boba Fett figure to the point that it's still in perfect condition despite how much I played with it. I wish Lego still made sick and affordable sets😥😥

I just checked the official pictures of the desert skiff, and the squared off plates at the back are actually accurate to the desert skiff in canon
