I love my country of birth, but deciding to move permanently to Italy in January, 2018, and getting my Italian citizenship two years ago was the BEST decision I've ever made. It still makes me sick to see what is happening in the United States, and politics are crazy here, but I don't worry, as a 70 year old woman, walking my dog in the Strozzi Gardens at night, or walking to the store, or that some crazed MAGA nutcase is going to open fire on a bus or the tram.

Which brings me to the NRA. The biggest single “campaign contributor” in our country, since the latter ‘90s !!!
I left the “Non-Profit” Org in disgust, when the Firearms Industry Lobby took over, under Harlon Carter, 1977 in Cincinnati, and with Neal Knox of the Institute for Legislative Action, adding Wayne LaPierre of their PAC, the Political Victory Fund, as Exec. VP. Since that time, with a brief hiatus under somewhat moderate Charlton Heston, after 1995, the NRA, which In my time still had
“SAFETY, MARKSMANSHIP!”
and the first words of our Second Amendment,
“A WELL-REGULATED MILITIA BEING NECESSARY…”
on its headquarters façade, changed fundamentally.
The venerable organization, which had SUPPORTED Federal Gun Control, with the NFA of 1934, the FFA of 1938, even the GCA of 1968, has tenaciously pursued the agenda of the most important arm of what President Eisenhower warned us all about, in his farewell speech: the Military-Industrial Complex! How did (CONSERVATIVE) Chief Justice Warren Burger put it?
"The Gun Lobby's interpretation of the Second Amendment is one of the greatest pieces of fraud, I repeat the word fraud, on the American People by special interest groups that I have ever seen in my lifetime."
And when Knox finally got ousted, what did he do? He ripped a page outa the playbook of the John-Birchers, workin’ “under the radar, ” in a plethora of SIGs, blogspots, etc., to keep pushin’ the Industry’s interests!
Well, guess which Paymaster Channel Vlad Putin picked, in 2012, as primary, through his buddy Aleksandr Torshin, then Torshin’s assistant, Mariia Butina, with Paul Erickson of SD, and the willing cooperation from now-Senator, Marsha Blackburn, the old Trumpie Friend, R-TN?
Yep. The good ol’ boys of the NRA !!!

We need a national law restricting the sale of bullets! All purchases of bullets will require a mandatory wait period of at least two weeks, a fresh criminal background check (including Interpol), and permission from two immediate family members via affidavit. No infringement on any 2nd Amendment rights.

While we absolutely need reasonable gun regulations ... we also need MEDIA regulations. The constant barrage of hateful rhetoric from extreme right wing shock-jocks, has to also be reigned in. Most here won't remember The Fairness Doctrine. We need a modern version of that.

When I received my permit, I got pulled over by a officer and he knew immediately I had a permit to carry by having that permit If DEATHSNTIS here in Florida pass this INSANE idea that EVERYBODY can carry THIS IS A REAL BAD SITUATION FOR
