How to Remove an Ikea Eket Cabinet from Wall

The Ikea Eket shelves and drawers units can be removed by hitting them upwards in corner to knock it off the bracket.

It takes quite a bit of force to do so, and you need to be lifting the shelf out at the correct angle at the same time. So you'll need to try a few times to get it right.

I couldn't do it until I was hitting it with a lot more force that I felt I should be!

This unit is the Ikea EKET Cabinet, 803.346.03:
And the wall fixing is the Ikea EKET Suspension Rail, 003.400.47:

Thank you for this! I thought I was going to rip the rail out of the wall when I removed it to adjust the leveling screws. Then one side came up but not the other…I’m lucky to still have a wall! 😝 I thought, “there has to be a better way”…one search later and here I am at the top hit. Thanks again!

Thanks for posting this video as I wouldn't have trusted IKEA's extremely vague instructions on its own.
However, I found that tilting it and gently lifting upwards also does the trick. No need to knock it with hard force. Same thing with mounting it. No need to slap/hit. Mine clicked into place with a gentle push.

Just put a slippery foil between the Eket and the wall so it doesn't get scratched and destroyed in the process. I used the stencil ( which is used to mark the wholes in the wall) which comes with every Eket, for example.

I learnt to hate EKET so much, sure its nice on a drywall, but a pain in the Bottox on an old, skewed stonewall. Thanks for the Video nonetheless!
