Should Trea Turner have been called safe?

Him calling out Joe Torre on national TV is legend material

"Everyone in our dugout is like, so what, let's move on." They then cut to Trea complaining and Martinez being restrained by 4 guys

Ironic that A-Rod is the one talking about this 😂

A rod should have no input considering he slapped a man's glove of at first

Respect to Trea for giving props to Adam Eaton, very lost art, but Eaton always puts in 100% to win the game, and he always puts the team first.

As soon as they made the call everyone in our dugout said so what, let’s move on....especially our manager.

Arod doesn’t know that that’s actually why Holbrook is looking up the line, which is to look for runners lane interference

This is BS. The rule states that the runner must run BETWEEN the two lines for the second half of the base path. He can run wherever he wants for the first half, then between those two lines for the second half. The runner is only protected for the last step or two, provided he ran within the foul line and the 45 foot line. Turner ran on fair territory the ENTIRE length of the basepath, resulting in him interfering with the catch at first base. He's out!

Houston had the perfect plan. What they didn’t account for was the nationals having 2 Walter Johnsons.

The problem is that FIRST base should be placed outside the field of play instead of in the field of play !!!!

The current position of the bag forces the runner into the fielder and is an illogical situation for major league baseball !!!!

Major league baseball should get IT'S act together and FIX this !!!!

I like Trea's hustle and enthusiasm but he's a professional baseball player and should know this rule. A rod should know as well. Like it or not the rule is clear. All players and coaches should read the official rules of baseball. You then will better understand why an umpire made or didn't make a call. There is a lane marked part way down the first base line for a reason. All Umpires know this rule and of course judgement is part of the equation.
Congratulations Nats on a big win.
