On this channel you can find several videos where I talk about intelligence, whether it is in the form of simple IQ, in the form of Emotional Intelligence or other types of intelligence categorized in different ways according to the research they are based on.
There is a difference between “sounding” smart and actually “being” smart…and yes of course, “there are different kinds of smarts”, “we're all smart in our own way” and so on and so forth...a bit like the way every baby is beautiful on his mommy's eyes, but the reality is a slightly different...
It is human nature to over-estimate oneself. Most of us, including yours truly, probably believe to be smarter than we actually are.
In this video we will look at 10 signs of intelligence that can hardly be faked.

Another attribute of an intelligent person is knowing when to ask for help and doing so before the situation becomes unmanageable.

I made it into Mensa by like 1 or 2 points. Yet, I don't feel smarter than most people. Unless I am online and start reading comment sections. Then I see lots of people that make me feel really really smart for impossibly dumb reasons.

A smart person is not the same as a confident person. In fact confidence is often a sign of the opposite

Doing something WITH intelligence puts one at another level. My dad was a genius, inventing a lot of gadgets that we used regularly around the ranch. He built his own mini sawmill, and built a hand peeled two-storey log cabin for my mother, for instance. I learned a lot from him. His biting sense of humor allows me to recognize when another is hiding cruelty behind humor, and his high expectations guaranteed that I'm an absolute whiz at math, spelling, grammar, etc. I could never quite meet his goals for me.

A lot of these also apply to what being an adult is. Not every grown up is an adult as there are many grown ups out there that are emotionally immature.

I grew up ignorant of mental illness and I did not know my true self. Turns out I am a smart person and the above list does apply to me. My mom called me 'Curious George' due to my endless curiosity. I am now on a medical disability for life. Music really helped to calm down and I went from a very shy kid to doing ten years of live FM radio.

One of the biggest signs that some one isn't that smart is they tell you how smart they are. Especially if they do it a lot.

Living your life without worrying if you are dumb or intelligent is much better. Life is just a game, just better yourself as you complete levels of the game.
I'm not smart, not intelligent, or dumb, but I want to better myself in each level of the game.

Once again a video on intelligence that focuses largely on the positive aspects of Intelligence. I have been (at times) surrounded by gifted people from all walks of life. They are quantifiably brilliant, but lack many interpersonal skills. Many highly intelligent people are complainers and highly pessimistic due to an acute awareness of the world around them. Emotionally intelligent people can be very damaged people because they internalize the anger, frustration, and hatred they can clearly see in the faces (and behaviors) of other people. "It's a blessing and a curse"

One can be highly intelligent and also dissatisfied with others. One can be dissatisfied with others but not blame them for any mistakes but their own.

"The smartest form of intelligence is art because they're thinking outside the box"
As they're literally painting inside a box.

"Open-mindedness" should never be exercised blatantly.
It should only be used when considering options, not just accepting something that goes against your morals, beliefs, or what you actually "want" to accept.

I've met people with PHD's that are lacking many of these important traits.

I don't need to improve on any of these attributes and I refuse to listen to anyone that thinks I should.

I've noticed that the narrator/illustrator draws the "favorable people" physically fit and attractive while those he's condemning are drawn as fat and unattractive. Also, he has a disproportionate number of nonwhites in his illustrations - almost as if he's being instructed. So it's clear that these little vignettes have an agenda beyond their stated purpose.
