Today we present you a video
about our TS-Optics ONTC / UNC newtonian telescope series.
As always, the video contains subtitles, selectable in all available languages.

ONTC / UNC telescopes from TS-Optics.
These telescopes "made in Germany" are characterized not only by their manufacturing quality but also by their flexibility.
We build a telescope for you, which is optimally suited for your requirements - with best materials, like carbon tube and tested optics.
NEW! Now configurable with mirrors from AstroReflect!
AstroReflect Mirrors from Bulgaria convince by their very good quality (with certificate) and also by the moderate own weight.
A Newtonian telescope with an AstroReflect mirror offers a top image.

We can also manufacture a Newtonian telescope with exchangeable secondary mirror.
The telescope is converted within one hour, the main mirror position is adjustable and thus also the focus position above the tube.
In an easy way a deep sky astrograph becomes a planetary telescope.

If all components are in stock, we need about 8-12 weeks for the manufacturing.

- Each telescope is beeing tested to our optical banch
- Each tube is manufactured to specification - no mass production
- Sets with correctors for astrophotography

UNC Newtonians:
- The inexpensive entry into the world of carbon tubes
- Quality selected optics
- Better illumination
- Good 2-inch Crayford Focuser with Micro transmission

ONTC Newtonians:
- Better and more stable Carbon tube
- Three focus positions for different focal lengths depending on corrector
- Free focuser choice from our portfolio

I like the fan of the other models. Is there a way to add a fan for these ones ?

Thanks for good introduction.
I have an issue with collimation of the recently bought TSO-ONTC 606 Newton. After the collimation of the secondary and primary mirrors is done with a Cheshire, residual off-axis of the focuser drawtube is observed which is quite severe and exceeds by times the secondary mirror offset appropriate for a fast f/4 scope. It seems, the 2" TS focuser needs collimation as it is obviously mounted non coaxial with the light path after the secondary mirror. Please advise whether this particular model of the TS focuser allows collimation. Thanks in advance.

I have decided to order an 8” f5 ONTC. One question. I intend to get a PrimaLuce ESATTO focuser for it. Do you offer or can you recommend the right-sized tube adapter and visual back I will need to attach this focuser? Thank you! Looking forward to using this promising Newt!

I absolutely love my ONTC 8, it is a wonderful scope. I highly recommend it and have enjoyed it thoroughly.

However, it pains me to admit that the secondary mirror and the spider are not paired well, at least on mine. The adjustment screws don’t line up with the pits on the back of the secondary mirror. Also, the screws on the secondary feel cheap and have had metal scraping off the threads from day one.

Perhaps I have an early model, I’m more than happy to change these out if they have been updated.

I’d love to hear from others about this

Thanks for a great video! I was wondering, have the sourcing issues of the carbon tubes been solved? I’m considering ordering one (the 8” f5 ontc notably), and am a bit afraid of the delivery times. I’ve heard stories of customers having to wait months and months before getting theirs. Thanks!!

Hi
What is the mirror quality of the ONTC series?
Also, that secondary mirror cell doesn't look like it's going to hold collimation well. Will it?

which position should the primary mirror be when using the 0.85x reducer on the hypergraph 8” ONTC?

That ONTC is a beautiful scope. I did have a question though - you said that when ordering the telescope in the standard configuration it's already equipped with coma corrector. I thought that on your website you had to add a coma corrector as an additional expense to the order. Or did I just misunderstand and you were saying that when ordering the ONTC telescope almost everybody will also order the coma corrector because the telescope is used for astrophotography so much?

Ciao!
Bellissimo prodotto!
