Titanic Museum Pigeon Forge
134 Parkway, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

The Titanic Museum is a two-story museum shaped like the RMS Titanic. It is located in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and opened on April 8, 2010. It is built half-scale to the original ship. Similar to the one in Branson, Missouri, the museum holds 400 pre-discovery artifacts in twenty galleries. It is the largest permanent Titanic museum in the world.

The structure is built in a pool to create the illusion of the Titanic at sea, and the 2-hour, self-guided tour is designed to give guests the sensation of being an original passenger on the Titanic's 1912 maiden voyage.

As guests enter, they are given a passenger boarding ticket. On this ticket is the name of an actual Titanic passenger and the class they were traveling. Guests will learn the individual stories of several passengers. In the Titanic Memorial Room, they will find out whether their ticketed passenger survived.

The structure cost $25 million to build.

FAQ's
Why use the Hungarian national Anthem? We use a music service for non-copyrighted music and came across this and it sounded grand & epic to start the video off. It was not labeled as the national anthem. So enjoy all you Hungarians out there stumbling upon this video 😁

Why is this located in Tennessee that has no coastline? Upon selecting a placement for the museum I am sure the draw was to make it centrally accessible to more people. Placing it by the #1 visited national park in the USA wasn't a bad idea IMO.

That tour guide is brilliant. She must go through all that hundreds of times but still talks with so much enthusiasm.

GIVE THAT TOUR GUIDE A RAISE! WOW! Playing the piano for guests? What a delightful experience, she has really dedicated herself to this role. I love that sometimes she even slips into saying 'this is our quarters' almost as if she's really part of the crew. So immersive.

The man who went down to collect artifacts and cosplayed as Captain Smith is incredible! He has so much history. God bless him.

I can appreciate the boy’s experience holding the piece of Titanic rust. A few years ago a scientist who had worked on analyzing the steel used to build the ship gave a lecture at our local library. He brought a rivet and the frame of a porthole that we could touch. I still remember the sense of the connection I felt to the ship and to the people who lived and died that night — a most uncanny experience.

I took this tour in ‘22, and it was great. Mr. Lytle happened to be there speaking, and I got to hold that exact piece of the Titanic. It was so surreal. I purchased his book, as well, which is very good. I recommend anyone who loves the Titanic go to the museum.
