When Ruby came out of the tree, and you hear a soft "red like roses" I WAS GOING CRAZY!!!! I really loved this volume and everything it did for the characters.

Really hit home when he talked about how Volume 3 was also cathartic with Monty passing. I hadn't put that together before.

Blake & Yang - Get their feelings sorted out and find a new understanding of Ruby.

Ruby - Finds comfort in being herself and that she is enough as is. Regains her confidence and smile returns. Got the good bean

Jaune - Finds comfort & acceptance. Much like Ruby, he finds he is enough and has done good in life.

Critics - Weiss got nothing/did nothing - shes only the funny character. Didn't nerd to be there.

Weiss - Cant fix what *refuses* to be broken. 🤺 Gave the group Sage advice when they needed it most. Only one to openly admit to and *explain* the pressure they put on Ruby. [ Shes had to deal with the crushing blow of expectations before and was reflecting off of life experiences ] Became the comfort friend for JBY. Fixed Jaune. Understood the importance of Ruby choosing her own path and for them to support her no matter what that choice was. [[ Literally did not even question Ruby AT ALL upon finishing ascension - she was just happy to see her alive and well ]] . Fixed her ' home' issues [ by herself ] after seeing the gems at work. Sassed a cat. Angel mode Weiss. Glyphosphere of doom attack. Met God. Got hella good devlopment. Good times.

Absolutely awesome volume. Got some friends into RWBY now after showing them vol 9 chapter 3. Real excited to see what the future brings : D.

I damn near burst into tears when Red Like Roses Part 3 started playing. I seriously hope we get a Vol 10 soon, and I hope even more that it keeps up the amazing momentum this volume gave to RWBY as a show.

Volume 9 was an incredible experience and everyone did such a good job on it. Can't wait for Volume 10.

I see a lot of people saying Ruby got no changes/learned no lessons after the ascention and "the writers could at least give her some development" (simply meaning "could fix/change her") but i think what they got wrong there is the whole idea of Ruby choosing herself. She decides to 'stay the same' so she could discoveron her own what she whant in life, who she wants to be and to become and how she can grow. For me it feels like people are actually projecting themselves on Rubes wanting her to 'learn a lesson' instead of reconciling with herself and learning to live in peace with her past, present and future self. All in all this scene can make you think a lot about yourself

Thank you for keeping RWBY going. After everything we've been through, it'd be a shame to end now.

This volume was beautifully self contained that made me love the characters more

I love how the final episode of volume 9 reveals that technically that cat is actually older then the Grimm and Selem. (As they were created while the brothers were still in the ever after and the world of remnant is a world they modelled after they left)!!

Such good world building!!

Plus love the secret mission hinted that summer went with Raven!! (We could see Hints of their friendship! While before despite her colder attitude in volume 5 Raven clearly felt at least respect for Summer in her comment to Ruby)

I was hoping for ruby to get an outfit change. but this, this is an amazing ending.
Maybe we'll see more of Ruby's newfound confidence and self worth in V10.
(Greenlight it RT please)

The way they talk about the characters, the show and how they made it. There's love pouring out of every sentence that they speak.
It's beautiful

The “Red Like Roses” musical cue had me SO excited, I loved everything about this episode

Especially Neo’s classy exit, I love her theatrical mannerisms

I might be in the minority here, but I’ll be okay if Neo never comes back into the story. I like the ending they gave her, it felt like a proper ending to her without giving her redemption or killing her off.

I feel like they came so close to a realization that Ruby needs to have about the situation she's in, especially with her "imposter syndrome". It's that NO ONE can stand where she is. Ozpin/Ozma could barely keep a lid on the Salem situation, and eventually failed. Ironwood was corrupted by his lack of compassion. Qrow is barely keeping it together, and really isn't at times. Her mom couldn't win this fight. She doesn't have anyone to look up to, but at the same time, she shouldn't feel bad for where she's at, because literally no one could do as well as she is doing.

She might not feel like she is enough, but enough at the thing that no one in the world has been able to do.
