Vintage VWs are the most fun cars to own! It’s a shame we don’t live in Norway, my husband is a master tech and has nursed along many vintage VWs well into their golden years. We have owned a ‘68 and a ‘74 super beetle and one of the new beetles ourselves. The vintage beetles are a mechanic’s dream because they are so simple to diagnose and fix (if you’re a mechanic, of course!)

On very delicate garments/fabrics and corners when I start sewing, I found a trick (don't remember by who) to use wrapping paper tissue under the stitch line and it helps to allow the material to run under the feet and not get pulled down into the machine. It is so lightweight paper it tears away without pulling on the stitches or the fabric. place the paper about an inch out from the raw edge to start sewing on the paper, just sew slowly for the first three stitches or so, then sew as normal.

Hi Guys
Love the jacket! I love pink, red together & growing up my mother told me the same thing! No pink & red together! Pink, red & peach would be amazing! Cant wait for the pattern. Blessings

I used to live near a thrift store that would get donations of small balls of yarn, and they'd sell them by the bag for a dollar or two. I got addicted to buy them so I have a ton of small balls of yarn. I make a lot of charity hats, so I will grab a bunch of them, and then put together what sings. It's fun!

So relatable what you say about the (sales)people you buy from are pleased with your colorful choice. We have green tiles for our kitchen floor, the sales person said that in all his years working (which was like 20 years) he had only sold the green tiles once or twice. Same for the man who installed the tiles he had only installed them once before. I love them and often when people visit our home they tells us they really like them 😅

'Fray stop' might help, used to stop shedding or fraying. It may be too stiff though. Love the dolls.

My mum was a very good seamstress and would measure anyone and use newspaper or paper bags and design pieces then cut the materials. Later she used ready made patterns and I would select patterns for her to sew. I can’t sew, but crochet, embroider, knit.

Great episode boys. I’m on the collar of Nordic sweater 12, and row 46 of the new stocking. I found the chart a little small to follow so I’ve enlarged it a little and I’m finding it easier to keep on track. I will look forward to all your future doll stuff. I’m mainly into Barbie and Blythe. I have an authentic Blythe now, I’m posting a video about her soon.

Kate of The Last Homely House likes to say get out of your head and into your hands. Working with my hands is so zen.

Another fun visit! You touched on several great topics today….. look forward to showing us how to make a block for tops…. Especially how to adjust for body imperfections…I.e. round back, forward shoulders…. Etc. Would love to see pic of sofa and hopefully progress on kitchen as it goes!

Hello and Happy Birthday!
I do love your cardigan from Rowen.

If you cut out the fabric with pinking shears it helps the fabric not ravel so much. Also spraying it with starch or sizing might help, but these things (and ironing) can make fabric shrink.

Arne that book is amazing. I am here in the US and have found many older patterns from that era in Thrift Shops.

“When it starts to get beautiful, that’s the reward.” Arne, that is poetry to my soul. This is why we love making things and keep being inspired to learn more. Thank you for saying that so well!

Love your cardigan Carlos like your wall colour as well, very nice both of you, is that the ticket office window behind you. Just trying to place the room. We have had so much rain here in the Uk as well. Need to send it abroad to help them out I think. Yes our main holiday month as well. I think the rain makes you feel cold. Arne we do not believe you, we know you better, all the excuses, dear me, then I guess you got a few slices. Wow 13 a lot of cake left over. Well not with Arne about. Haha oh no do not let Arne near that fish cart again Carlos. People years ago used to make their clothes as couldn’t afford to buy them in the shop, I am talking just after the wartime. Could you put interfacing around the edges to firm it a little more. I like your hexagon items Arne very pretty.sadly older vehicles get to a stage where they become costly, then the parts get harder to be able to get hold off. Lovely to have all the same. Yes your colour choice is really nice, with the warm colour just lifts it.
Yes for sure your very interesting to sit and listen to, you always have good ideas with things and ideas that’s always worth a try, ah you answered my question about the ticket office haha.
