This Is Why I place blame on Cowboys owner Jerry Jones for the overall culture of the team. Jerry need a coach he can control and this is one of the reason he is keeping coach Mike McCarthy head coach of the Dallas Cowboys.

I think that’s why Barry Sanders retired when he was in Detroit. He didn’t think the owner was committed to winning and getting the personnel that was necessary to make it happen.

I've been a fan for 35yrs. After suffering through the last 3 decades or so, I finally found some comfort this year when I realized that Jerry will likely be gone far sooner than I will. I respect what Jerry has created, but I'm confident we don't get another Superbowl until Jerry is deceased.

But the common denominator since Jimmy has left, is Jerry. He's as much to blame as any person there, because his ego won't get out of his way and let a real coach do their job. No player really respects a coach like that. So you're right. Anybody who can't see that is drinking blinding and dumbing down water.

So glad I found you on Utube. Man you’re are telling it like it is, I’ve thought this for years now. Get Jerry out of the locker room and get a coach to enforce discipline. I have subscribed and looking for future post, cause you call it as it is.

I've been a fan of the Dallas Cowboys for 50 years. I watched the Cowboys lose to the Steelers in the Super Bowl in 1976 and 1979. I watched the Cowboys win Super Bowls in 1978 against the Broncos, 1993 and 1994 against the Bills, and 1996 against the Steelers. You are SPOT ON - Jerry is the root of the problem. In the last 28 years we've had 6 head coaches, 6 starting QBs, countless star running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, o-linemen, d-linemen, linebackers, DBs, you name it, we've had stars at those positions. The only thing that's been the same is the owner. And we haven't even gotten to an NFC Championship game. Like you said the reason is the culture that Jerry Jones creates. I usually don't wish ill on anyone, but I'll be happy to see Jerry Jones pass. No guarantee that Stephen Jones will be better, but at least there's a chance. And until that happens, we're going to see nothing but failure in the playoffs because of the culture that Jerry Jones creates.

1000% AGREE!!! I am 53 years old. I watched the Cowboys in the 90's under coach Johnson. This team (2023) is not even a fraction of that team. This is a Jerry Jones run team and he DOES NOT care about winning a Super Bowl. He wants to be the man in charge - win or lose, come what may.

I used to be a Cowboys fan until the 85 Bears came along and have been ever since. But when Jerry Jones took over he just completely ruined the Cowboys. Even though I like the players and the coaches for the Cowboys, I don't like Jerry Jones and I usually pull for the other team unless they play Green Bay. But I tell people all the time, if Jerry Jones sells the Dallas Cowboys today, tomorrow I'll start liking them.

I’ve been a fan since the 70’s. It’s been very disappointing to see the Cowboys continue to fall short of at least getting to a NFC championship game. At this point I tell my family and friends that we’re a country club team. U nailed it by saying that we have the talent but we don’t have a general to lead us.

You are 100% right. How anyone could defend Jerry means they have not been fans long enough. I have been a fan of this team since 1971. Yep, a long time. BTW, the culture under Tom Landry was the best it ever was. Irvin only got to experience one year of it and it was winding down. During Tom's heyday, they were the Patriots of the 70's. That is why the most dominant time period for the Cowboys was the 70's. They appeared in 5 Superbowls in the 70's. lol Now they got beat in 3 of them. The Steelers were no joke then. But that era was the best. They had 20 consecutive winning seasons. Went to the playoffs 18 years in a row. No team has matched that since. Anyway, Jerry is the problem. He always was. He is about entertainment. He is a liar when he says he wants to win a championship. If that were true, he would sign the guys needed to get it done. He did that with Jimmy. After, he never did. He signs guys who can sell more tickets. Jerry has destroyed the franchise IMHO. I may call it quits here. He annoys me to no end.

Its the little things that matter like mahomes has been to 6 straight afc championships and still play in the preseason none of our starters even play in the preseason its too much pampering going on in this organization.
