Dagan takes a look at the ICONIC Gibson ES-335 Dot and shows us why it’s one of the best guitars of all time! The beautiful example is in the classic Vintage Burst finish. From its inaugural appearance in 1958, the Gibson ES-335 set an unmatched standard.

The pearloid dot inlay rosewood fingerboard on a hand-rolled Rounded "C" mahogany neck remind players where it all started. Gibson's Calibrated T-Type humbucking pickups are paired with our hand-wired control assembly. The result is that versatile Gibson ES tone that players have craved for over 60 years. Tuning stability and precise intonation are provided by the Vintage Deluxe tuners with Keystone buttons, paired with light weight Aluminum ABR-1 bridge and Stop Bar tailpiece, anchored by steel thumb-wheels and tailpiece studs.

I have the exact same ES-335 (2021 model). I love the sound of the pickups, and the feel of its chunky neck. The pickups have a lower output than usual humbuckers, and they can be adjusted to sound very clean or very dirty. The sound and the attack almost remind me of the P90 pickups, without the hum. For this reason I decided to sell my Gibson SG Special as I don't play it anymore since I got this guitar. Actually this is the only guitar that I play since I bought it this year. If you like what ES-335 does and you can afford it my recommendation is to get this one. It is a versatile guitar, and definitely a lifer guitar.

Not too many around. Bought my sunburst 335 a few years back and no other store had one for sale at the time. That said, like Harry potter's wand, it picked me. All I did was one strum in the shop and that was that. Next thing I knew it was in my house!! They are big tho, not always the best for just sitting back and relaxing whilst you strum. When you play it, between the amazing sounds and the size, you have to be fully engaged! Beast of a guitar. Expensive, but, they are unique.

I’m so happy that Gibson reintroduced those pick-ups!

Gonna get one of these in about 8 months. Bought a Les Paul Special last year, and after the 335 and also around the same time gonna get a D35. That, my friends, is my mid-life crisis. When I was a younger guy I had all sorts of gear. I sold it all due to life. I suppose my most notable gear was a '77 strat, a '76 Les Paul Deluxe, Rickenbacker 370-12, '63 Gibson Melody Maker, '69 Bandmaster Reverb, '66 Super Reverb, '76 Marshall Master Volume, reissue (90's) Vibroverb, '65 Bassman, late 90's PRS McCarty, 80's ESP M1 Custom, and Horizon 1 Custom, a couple Ibanez RG series...dadada. All of those were left-handed with the exception of the '77 strat, the Melody Maker, and the ESP's, so also fairly rare. Obviously I wish I still had some of it. Mainly the Bandmaster Reverb, and my Stingray bass which I didn't mention above.
