Even after the facelift for the 3 Series last summer, the BMW 4 Series models initially kept the familiar display combination on board, and the more modern curved display was reserved for the electric i4. In the spring of 2023, this waiting time will be over, as the 4 Series Coupe (G22), 4 Series Convertible (G23), and 4 Series Gran Coupe (G26) will also receive the new infotainment solution. Like in the 3 Series, the curved display combines two independent elements under a common cover glass, which offers a modern interpretation of driver orientation thanks to its curved shape.

Compared to the previous interior, the interior facelift also eliminates a variety of buttons, including the eight programmable favorite buttons below the infotainment display. In exchange, there is the improved "Intelligent Personal Assistant" (IPA) for voice control and a variety of swipe gestures for the touchscreen, which open additional menus similar to those on a smartphone.
