A correction to an erroneous statement above, Sivaji won National Film Award-Special Jury for Devar Magan and Dadasaheb Phalke-Life Time Achievement Award while Nagesh is the first Tamil actor who bagged Best Supporting Actor for Nammavar. I fully agree with Gangai Amaran sir. I am very surprised to see he did not side his brother but spoke as a very neautral person. Hopefully someday Raja sir will have some humility in his attitude.

Illayaraja said there should be only one award in the Music portfolio. He never said it should be given to him only. Further he has not requested the award. It has been thrusted upon him. He has the right to refuse also. Further he has refused a few awards earlier. He has not been informed the intention of the selection committee to give him the award. Otherwise he would have refused then itself. Give awards to others also and encourage them. Whether Illayaraja raised any objection to this? Amaran comments have no logic. He is giving an impression as if Rajan begged for the award and later refused it. Amaran please have some sense. Why still producers and Directors are in Q for Raja, If his music is out of date ?

It's Raja sir's decision whether he accept the award or not... Did he complained when his name didn't nominated in any other awards? It's his opinion that music awards should not be given separately. Even I can understand what Raja sir mean by that... People will say he is ego but that's made him special than others..
