This hits home. I had a staph infection that turned into MRSA, a bone infection and ultimately becoming septic. I almost died. Lucky I survived, but lost my lower right leg. This no joke, you need to go to the hospital and get on antibiotics ASAP.

Great educational segment. You never know when or who it happens to, but you can respond to it by this knowledge

Luckily, Dustin is a true fighter and didn't let the hospital staph de-feet him.

Had a friend pass away from MRSA when we were growing up. Scarry stuff. Rip Riley

When I was a senior in high school, I got cut by a school door and I had a MRSA infection. I then spent the next 4 years fighting MRSA infections on that leg off and on until I was hospitalized with my calf looking similar to Poirier's foot. We finally got it under control, and I haven't had any issues since, but I have a small little hole in my calf muscle where the MRSA ate away the muscle.

I had a MRSA staph infection on my knee and hip at the same time before. The swelling was crazy and it got so painful that I couldn’t walk. Glad to hear Dustin is progressing!

I've seen patients with MRSA leading to osteomyelitis in their coccyx and it was gnarly. Wound care on that was definitely not ideal lol. Your videos are always so knowledgeable and thank you Doctor!

PAINNN people here really have ZERO idea how high on the pain scale this is....he would not be able to withstand 3 mins without strong pain medication, I know that 100%....also extremely dangerous

I am glad there's more research on Staph. As someone with eczema being more prone to weeping wounds caused by Staph infections, I hope there's more knowledge on this bacteria and how to prevent its infection

The body is amazing!! How infections are fought, how new pathways (vessels) are created when there's a total vascular occlusion....why the body reacts to food just everything....
Glad he's responding well!!
Thanks Doc Brian for another informative video!!!

Staph is no joke, my boyfriend actually ended up with a below the knee amputation of his right foot early this year because of it, when I saw the first picture I knew -EXACTLY- what was going on. Glad he was able to clear it up quickly, Staph moves fast

This guy is the best. He posts so fast and I always think it’s going to be clickbait, but he is so informational and explains extremely hard subjects beautifully so that the average person can understand and learn. Thanks Doc!
