Thanks for the tour, that is quite a personal collection. One of my prized artworks is a lithograph by Jim Daly, an American realist artist, of Tom Sawyer whitewashing his aunt’s fence while Huck Finn sleeps idly by. Mark Twain is one of my favorite authors.

A room with books and pictures is a Philistine's cell! Thank the Almighty that there are still people about like yourself with an eclectic taste in books and pictures, and a palate for good booze and baccy!😄
Thanks, as always, for the tour of your study.
God bless.

Thankyou for this fabulous tour Malcolm, I had been wondering if that painting was of Leonard Cohen, one of my key songwriting inspirations.

Leave me along for a moment in a new friends home and the first thing I do, is peruse their bookshelf, pictures and artwork. Speaks volumes about who they are and how we are connected. Thanks for sharing this with us Malcolm, it means a lot to us.
Be well,
Stephen

Yours is the sort of study I aspire to! If only we didn't need a guest bed in mine, I could have another whole wall of bookshelves. Thank you for inviting us in and giving us a tour--I always enjoy your spells in the library.

As always, thanks for sharing your world with us. The first painting brought to mind Coleridge's "hot and copper sky" above the Mariner's "painted ship / Upon a painted ocean." Each time I read that passage, I picture in my mind's eye something very similar to your actual picture.

Hi Malcolm, Not sure if you watch much films but if you have a dvd collection would be interesting to see what kind of films you like. I recommend Bright Star- about John Keats, lovely and beautiful film. And also A Hidden Life, which feels like a poem and has a beautiful quote by George Elliot in it about a hidden life. Thank you for your beautiful works. Best wishes during this time.

Just having a look through Roger Wagner's work because of this. I don't think I've seen anything like it before...
