There is only one Mickey Guyton, and we have her on the show this week. Mickey is an incredible talent, a genre-bending revelation and one of the sweetest people you will ever meet. Her story reminds me that the path less traveled is the one with all the breakthroughs. She's had hit records but she's also had a very difficult path as a Black female country artist. She found herself through that difficulty, and you can be the beneficiary of what she learned by just tuning in this week.

First off I want to say thank you Marcus Whitney for the realist Mickey Guyton interview I've ever seen and trust me I've seen a lot of them. I'm a huge fan of Mickey's and has been following her from day one. I'm an African American male from Georgia who loves country music and finding true talent like Mickey Guyton, who's an amazing vocalist and has the talent to be as big as Carrie Underwood not be recognized as much in the country music world is a big problem. I remember when Rissi Palmer said she had trouble fitting in as a country music artist and I had to send the youtube video of Rissi Palmer saying this to Mickey telling her not to give up because her talent is too big not to be shared with the world. I'm so looking forward to 2020 for Mickey Guyton!!! I'm sure it's gonna be a good year.
