Story 1: that is why you always carry a red laser pointer pen. You'd have that cougar running anywhere you want it to...

Story 1 sounds like that viral video of that guy that filmed 9 mins of him backing up from a cougar.

RIP Sonja J. Brooks
💛😢💜🖤
A real story of bravery and selflessness. They taught us all that lesson through their life and death.
Thank you for telling their story beautifully.

Am I the only one who thinks how crazy it is that history repeats itself according to the times we live in. Here we are listening to a person reading stories strangers sent into an online Reddit account just like before tv people would send letters and stories love notes etc. To radio stations and people would gather around in their homes after school or work or during work hours and listen to these radio stations. Figuring out who's who etc. It's actually cool that it's kinda full circle. Lol, my deep thought of the day I guess. Happy listening everyone .

I swear it's getting more and more like it's not a good idea to leave your freaking house. But then that could be dangerous to.

Story #2... 🤦🏻‍♀️
"I'm always in the Everglades"... "I've had encounters with alligators"... "One night something really big hit my boat"... "It had to be at least 7ft"...
Oh, I wonder what that might be... 🙄🙄🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ A fucking alligator, no?

Just finished story#3. Sonya's story is 💔
Nature can be as cruel as beautiful it is. How rare it is to be attacked by mountain lions and yet it happened. I can't imagine how traumatic it must have been.
God bless you. Hope you can move forward from it.

I'm from the PNW and my dad worked in Seattle. I remember when Sonja was killed and how shaken up the entire PNW was. Many people in the PNW are extremely active, especially on bike trails in the mountains/forests (my family rode our bikes for miles every day). They did everything correctly and it still wasn't enough. Normally the issue is coyotes (they stalk hikers and will kill dogs), so to find out that a biker was killed by a cougar was so scary and sad. Rest in Power Sonja! You did so much for the PNW and we will remember you!

I bet those baby cougars were cute tho

I can’t even wrap my head around the stupid in the first story. Don’t approach baby wild animals. Even if it was a bobcat you still would have been attacked. There are some usually shy animals that will attack to protect their children.
