Man, to all these people complaining about how the fan unit doesn’t charge itself:
1. Adding thermo-electric generator would increase cost significantly.
2. More features electronically means more parts, and more parts means more things likely to break/malfunction. Sometimes keeping it simple is best.
3. The charge unit already lasts a long time. I own one of these and the fan uses very little energy so the charged up unit lasts a VERY long time. Over two whole nights with constant use.

Woo hooo we just received box’s from USA and cant wait to open them. My Birthday isn’t until August 18th, so will have to wait. I want to take it to the river where it will be bitterly cold to warm us up and to cook on top. Will keep you posted X

What is the X-ray mesh made from? I know it’s enamel coated but when it gets chipped etc will it rust in those places? Also what is the rest of the metal type?

Can you confirm that operating the firepit on a deck is safe? The manual states not to but the promotional video shows it. Also, would it be safe to use cast iron pans on top of pit to cook on top? Thanks!

They need to have a stainless steel option for it because it rust so much even if it’s the biolite firepit+. And replaceable battery pack because in just 2 years the fun does not work anymore because the lithium that built in is just dead like the original biolite firepit. If you want a 2 year firepit this is for you but for the money I expect better. For someone who had the original and the plus. I’ll give it a 2/5 because it won’t last. But is we have a stainless steel version it would be great like an option for people who would like it to last longer and a replaceable battery when the lithium battery pack can’t be charged anymore. Then it would be 5/5.
