Every year there are some real stinkers released in the blaster world. 2022 might not be the worst year ever, but that doesn't mean there isn't some real garbage available.

Literally saw an older lady today in a local Midwest chain store loading a few fort nite blasters into her cart and she was eye balling the #1 on this list for her older two grandchildren. She saw me looking at some of the blasters on the wall and asked my opinion. After a brief chat she found some different blasters that were cheaper but far better than what she was looking at. Thank you and other content creators for educating the masses.

I've watched drac on and off for a long time but i feel like his presentation style recently had gotten a lot better. He feels way more relaxed and playful despite still being very honest and to the point. I like it :)

I’m Surprised the Buzz-Bee Pixelator isn’t on this list. Uncomfortable grip, uncomfortable trigger, uncomfortable prime, the blaster LITERALLY cuts your hand if you use it for extended amounts of time. Easily around a number #3 for worst of 2022.

I feel like pre-orders in general, especially from Hasbro and the Nerf Limited line in particular, are often a designer scam. Love the game face shirt BTW!

I wish Nerf would say “I won’t bore you with this any further” about Hyper in general haha. The evolve is incredibly weird looking. I liked the shells from the original flight anyway.

Amban blaster is one of the few blasters I have ever returned. Awful.

Ha, have been writing as listening, so amused to hear that actually returning something is a notable thing.

I don’t have a Speed here in Canada, but I will probably get one eventually, totally an Ultra sucker over here (which says something about how little I touch anything Hyper). The mag thing is unreal though.

Gonna have to disagree on the Roblox rocket launcher. It would be better if it stored air and retailed for less than $30+ but it's powerful and fun to use. Might actually be my favorite HAMP-style blaster they've ever released.

I like Hyper. It’s bizarre and inconsistent. It’s not Nerf. But I like the visual design and form factor of the blasters, and really enjoy watching the dumb rubber balls careening around the house as my equally dumb cats crash into the walls chasing em. They’re useless, but fun! Basically perfect for this period in history.

IMO this list is perfect except... #1. The magazine incompatibility is pretty inexcusable, BUT the Speed went on one of my gift guide lists because it's the only in-store off the shelf blaster with a high firing rate and it stands out for that reason. It's definitely near the bottom of the list of the year's blasters but simply for that one completely unique, stand-out feature I can't see it being the absolute worst.

Anyway, cheers to a new, hopefully Hyper-free, new year!

I have a shark-bite and I kept it because I actually made money on it. There was a brief window where two deals overlapped. Got it for 27 cents (after tax even) then sold the skin code for a game I don’t play for 6.50 via ebay.

The ultra speed aint that bad the magazine stuff is bad but other than that its fun to use its just more fun to play around with than play in a nerf war any nerf blaster that dumps its mag in a second is clearly not war practical (unless its small then its good for a backup) but its still fun to shoot a bunch of darts out really fast its def overpriced and flawed but its not the absolute worst thing this year

Gel blasters kind of confuse me in general. It just seems like worse airsoft so...why? Why not just go full nerf or full airsoft I don't get it.

Really disagree with the nerf ultra speed. The electrical sag sucks but over all it's a really fun blaster for just screwing around in the house. As a collector, I like whacky strange ammo types. I'm never going to take any of the strange ones to a game but I like them for plinking.

I feel that the hyper line was a disaster except for the rush 40. My brothers and I call it "the sin pistol" because it is a sin to use something that shoots so hard. Ultra also was a bit of a failure due to inaccuracies and slow bullets. I love nerf youtubers because they can tell you what the hidden gem of each line of nerf guns is.
