Hertz screwed up. They didn't bother putting charging stations in their lots. Renting an EV car and then having to immediately have to go take it some place to recharge for 45min made the experience suck.

maybe the reason new trucks aren't selling is cause people that need a truck, don't need a crewcab with a 5 ft. bed.

2021 Tesla Y with 150000 on it and still running . Not sure where the confusion is .
Only issues so far are the tires.
Best decision ever made .

Tesla was down 8%, but everyone else was down double digits. Toyota, Ford, Gm are all hemorrhaging. Who can afford a 92k Rav4 or a 96K dollar pickup.

Trucks are way too expensive! Out of control.

I am 72 years old, and now would only buy a Honda or a Mazda or a Toyota, the rest are crap, no more ford GM or dodge done with them and no stinking EV'S .

Trucks are not selling because of the price! The working person cannot afford it in this greedy economy!

I just bought a used crown Victoria lx 2000 with less than 100k miles and nicely taken care of for 3k. I just don't see value in the new cars when I can find older gas ones for cheap with tons of life in them. It also gives me the ability to see if they are well built from long term reviews and gripes.

I love it when people ask Scotty instead of reading their owner's manual. Check fluids before leaving the dealership and every 200 miles afterwards for the first 3K or so. (My car had low coolant after 50 miles; topped up twice and all was fine. A bubble in the system?) Most (all?) owners manuals tell you the break-in period. My 2018 said, "Drive moderately during the first 300 miles. After 60 miles speeds up to 55 mph are desirable." I simply spent the first weekend cruising. Plus "brief full-throttle acceleration contributes to a good break-in." per the factory. It notes "some oil use is normal in the first few thousand miles." There's "gold" in those pages. 2 of my new cars said, "Never use premium fuel" and the latest says "Premium fuel recommended".

I gave up on North American cars 20 years ago. I still have an old 06 civic and a10 Tundra, and both paid for and running fine

I'm in the sunbelt and have a Honda with 60K on it, and a 18 year old Ranger PU with low miles for its age and is in fantastic shape. My motivation level right now in converting to EV is really

We have a relative who is a service manager for a Volvo dealer. He has indicted that they are having problems with repairing their EV’s with only a few thousand miles on the OD. In many instances, they can’t repair them at all!

My F-150 4 x 4 base crew cab was $28K new in 2016. I looked at a replacement new truck and one set up like my 16 was $70K!! No wonder sales are 16 will have to last me.

I went to a new Volvo dealer to look at a used Lexus. While the salesman and I were talking, I asked how the sales of the EV was. He told need that they aren’t selling very well. But he said the worst part, people don’t understand depreciation! He told me that they had a customer that had bought from them forever. He wanted out of his EV after a year and the value was more than 50%!!

I have my 1998 Expedition 5, 4L and my 2008 Prius. They make for aa great pair of vehicles. Both simple and reliable. Both cost less than $16, 000 and save money with no payments. I am the warranty and they are easy to fix and I don't don't have cameras in my face and location sent to the government.

These cars were marketed for the rich at first. Now, there are no more buyers and the middle and lower classes see EVs as inconvenient to charge - never mind the high cost of insurance, fire risk and repairs etc.

I'm speaking as a professional electrician with over 20 years of experience. They can come up with all sorts of new ways to generate electricity. What they fail to address is the fact that our electric grid has been operating well above it's designed capacity since the 1990s.
If they can't get the 'Green' electricity to you what good is it?
