Why I'm Excited About Star Wars Outlaws...

Star Wars Outlaws is the first open-world Star Wars game, being developed by Massive Entertainment. It releases in a few weeks' time and as a Star Wars fan, I’m pretty excited to experience what it has to offer.

There’s no denying that Star Wars Outlaws retains the age old open- world formula that gamers have gotten fatigued by over the years, but several things keep it fresh.

There’s an organic liveliness to environments that differentiates itself from typical open world titles, as shown by the fights and lore-relevant banter happening in the background. Speaking of environments, I’m very much looking forward to visiting various location and exploring Jabba’s Palace.

There’s clearly great respect for the original trilogy shown through Star Wars Outlaws, and it’s this dedication to capturing the classic source material that really gets me excited for the game, among other reasons.

I think the game is getting a bit too much hate, it looks good, detailed and a new concept. Is it going to be the most revolutionary game? No I doubt it but it looks decent enough

Gamers know they love to complain about the most mundane things. I can't imagine being one of the people complaining about a single mission that doesn't impact the story and letting that be one fo the reasons to get upset. If Massive can recreate the immersive world in Star Wars that they did in The Division series I will be pleased. Looking forward to 8/26 when I can hop in and see what Kay is about.

Its going to be a great title, I think much of the negative focus has come from some tastemakers/major gaming sites looking for hits/views. They're always that way on any new title

Unbelievable that they reference Splinter Cell right as they show the worst stealth gameplay and enemy AI I can remember in a modern game. This Matthew Carmosino from GameBolt probably went on a Disneyland holiday sponsored by Ubisoft.
