A 2025 Buick would last 3 years max and repairs would cost more than half of what it actually cost…
Old is gold folks.

That 3.8 is unstoppable “if you change the oil” and if something do break is cheap…
Most common replacement parts are very accessible (spark plugs are a bit uncomfortable) but cheap labor overall I think is the perfect first car…

The v 6 in those Buick are one of the best engines ever made. They don't die

I had a 2004 lesabre. When I sold it the air worked along with everything else. It has 370, 000 miles on it. The person I sold it to 3 years ago hit 400, 000 recently.

Back in highschool some friends and I jumped some railroad tracks in my friend's LeSabre. Got a good four feet of air... Fucking DESTROYED the oil pan. We limped it home. Took it off. Hammered it back out with a roofing hammer, put it back on, filled it back up and it ran fine. He still drives it 12 years later.😅 Fuckin things are like tanks.

We had a 1993 Buick Regal, with the 3.1 V6. It took us across the country twice. Was driven from Pittsburgh to Boston at least 15 times. Broke down around 165, xxx miles. Due to a clogged fuel filter. Had almost no maintenance and still was chugging along at 250, xxx miles. Till the lady we sold it too tried to commit suicide by driving thru a house. She survived, the car survived but was totaled due to its age. My grandfather had a 1999 LeSabre, that thing was still ticking around 200, xxx. Then it caught on fire.

The brake lines on these things hate being in Minnesota. In a year, I replaced around 400 feet worth of brake lines on LeSabres alone.

That's why they used to "it's built like a Buick" when something was really durable.

My 2005 v6 Buick lacrosse had the worse issues. Busted the muffler, Threw a rod, blew a head gasket, fluid leaks everywhere and it never got wreaked or abused. It only had 120, 000 miles on it by the time it completely stopped working

My first car was a 98 LeSabre custom with 180K, I drove it until the axel fell off and it was the greatest car I’ve had to this day
