Please note, public transport is very convenient, either purchase a travel card for a day, 3 days, a week, or 30 days. You get good value for money. Some tourist cards also include both public transport as well as some entrance fees to museums, etc.
However, if you only plan sporadic travels on the public transports, your can just use your credit/debit card directly at the turn style.
Just place your card on the NFC reader and your fee is deducted and the turn style opens, giving you 70 minutes of "free" travel in the entire public transport system, i.e. busses, trams, commuter trains, subway and even some boats. Even if you "blip" the card again, you are only charged once within the 70 minutes time period.
