For over a century, the Estonia piano company has been in the pursuit of perfect grand piano. For three decades, Dr Indrek Laul traveled the world to interview concert pianists, performers and educators. Dr Laul gathered records of the universal demands and needs of the pianists to reach complete inspiration with ultimate tonal expression and returned to Estonia. The Model L168 was proudly and painstakingly created by the requests of these pianists and musicians of the conservatories, performance centers, music rooms, education & recording studios worldwide.
With precision craftsmanship, meticulous attention to details, all Estonia grand pianos continue the trusted, European, old-world piano making traditions. Soundboards made of only the highest quality resonant spruce, found in the high altitudes of the Swiss and Italian Alps are carefully selected. These soundboards are meticulously treated by our experienced craftsmen to produce the naturally beautiful and singing piano sound. The top performance piano action, hammers, dampers, iron plate, strings, double duplex-scale, and other European components of the highest level quality, have been custom fit for each individual instrument.
